Occupational Safety and Health

Emergency Responder Training (AED/CPR/First Aid)

This training enhances our Emergency Responder Program by providing up to 12 associates American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR and/or AED certification as well as Emergency Responder First Aid. Approximately 4 hours in length. Suggested audience: Emergency Responders, electricians, supervisors. Frequency: Every 2 years (per certification expiration date).

Hazard Communication (Hazcom)

This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200 by educating your associates about hazardous materials in the workplace touching on identification, protection, your written program, labeling and the material safety data sheet. Approximately 3 hours in length. Suggested audience: all employees. Frequency: annually.

BloodBorne Pathogen Control

This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard 1910.1030 by educating your associates about the dangers of bloodborne disease, routes of transmission, at risk tasks, the use of universal precautions, PPE, cleaning & decontamination, how to handle an exposure and post exposure procedures including medical follow-up. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested Audience: Emergency Responders, supervisors, any employees exposed to blood or potentially infectious material in the course of their work duties. Frequency: annually.

Fire Extinguisher

This course primarily meets OSHA’s Fire Protection Standard 1910.157, but can apply to other instances where fire extinguishers are required. Associates are trained in the general principals and hazards of incipient stage fire fighting and the use of fire extinguishers. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: employees authorized to use fire extinguishers in the workplace. Frequency: annually.

Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift)

This course meets OSHA’s Powered Industrial Truck Standard 1910.178. The National Safety Council Coaching the Lift Truck Operator Course is the curriculum used to instruct and license industrial truck drivers. Suggested audience: powered industrial truck operators, supervisors. Frequency: every 3 years (per licensing expiration date).

Emergency Preparedness & Evacuation

This planning / course meets OSHA’s Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Prevention Plans 1910 Subpart E. O S H, inc. associates will assist you in developing, implementing, training, and holding drills that will ensure you have a plan in place and that your employees are prepared to respond to foreseeable workplace emergencies to include accounting for your employees so that no one is left behind. Lockout / Tagout

This course meets the requirement of OSHA’s Control of Hazardous Energy Standard 1910.147 by educating your associates in the purpose and function of your site’s energy control program, the recognition of hazardous energy sources, and methods and means of energy isolation and control. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: all employees that work around hazardous energy, supervisors, maintenance. Frequency: annually.

Confined Space Entry

This course meets the requirement of OSHA’s Permit Required Confined Spaces Standard 1910.146. Entrants, attendants, entry supervisors and other affected employees are provided a general understanding of confined spaces, the permit system, the dangers they may face and their respective duties. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: employees who do work in confined spaces or serve as attendants, general awareness for all employees who work around confined spaces, supervisors. Frequency: annually.

Personal Protective Equipment

This course meets the requirement of OSHA’s Personal Protective Equipment Standard 1910 Subpart I. All employees required to wear PPE will be educated in what type of PPE is appropriate, when to wear it, how to properly don and doff the equipment, proper care and maintenance and the limitations of the equipment. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: all employees required to wear PPE, supervisors. Frequency: annually.

Hazardous Materials (HAZWOPER 8 hour refresher)

This course meets the annual refresher requirement for OSHA’s 40 hour HAZWOPER course 1910.120 for associates wishing to maintain their 40 hour certification. Please call for a quote for this training as duration and content may vary depending upon client requirements.

Respiratory Protection

This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard 1910.134. All employees that are required to wear respirators will be educated in respirator selection, use, fit, care, maintenance and the general purpose of respiratory protection. O S H, inc. can also include qualitative fit testing at your location, ask for a quote. Suggested audience: employees required to wear respirators, supervisors. Frequency: annual.

Spill Response

This course is meant to complement several programs already mentioned. Actual live scenarios are developed at your location to test the effectiveness of your Emergency Action Plan and the knowledge and skills of your Emergency Responders. This is ideal for facilities that have hazardous materials on site where associates may be called upon to isolate and/or clean-up small spills. Please call for a quote.

Fall Protection

This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Personal Fall Arrest Systems – a section of 1910.66, Powered Platforms. This educates employees required to use personal fall arrest systems in application limits, methods of use, proper care and storage and effective inspection of equipment. Please call for a quote.

Electrical Safety

This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Electrical Standard 1910.332 for your associates that may be exposed to electrical hazards. Employees will be educated in how to identify live electrical parts, hazards associated and protective measures. Please call for a quote.

Ergonomics

In the absence of a standard, this training supports OSHA’s published guidelines regarding ergonomics and can protect you from a citation under OSHA’s General Duty Clause, Section 5 (a) (1), your obligation to keep your workplace free from recognized hazards. Department of Transportation

Hazardous Materials Transportation – General Awareness

This course provides training in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations found in the Title 49 CFR. Subjects covered include the 172.101 hazmat table, mode of transport variances, hazmat descriptions, hazard classes and divisions, shipping ID numbers, packing group classifications, limited quantity exceptions, packaging authorizations, labeling requirements, placarding requirements, segregation distances and blocking / bracing. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: shipping/receiving employees, employees that prepare hazmat or hazmat paperwork for shipping, employees that purchase materials for shipping hazmat, employees that test or recertify hazmat packaging, supervisors of hazmat employees, hazmat drivers. Frequency: every 3 years. This course is often combined with other Hazardous Materials Transportation courses to meet regulatory requirements.

Hazardous Materials Transportation – Function Specific

This course provides training in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations found in the Title 49 CFR with emphasis on employee duties. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: shipping/receiving employees, employees that prepare hazmat or hazmat paperwork for shipping, employees that purchase materials for shipping hazmat, employees that test or recertify hazmat packaging, supervisors of hazmat employees, hazmat drivers. Frequency: every 3 years. This course is often combined with other Hazardous Materials Transportation courses to meet regulatory requirements.

Hazardous Materials Transportation – Safety

This course provides safety training in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations found in the Title 49 CFR. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: shipping/receiving employees, employees that prepare hazmat or hazmat paperwork for shipping, employees that purchase materials for shipping hazmat, employees that test or recertify hazmat packaging, supervisors of hazmat employees, hazmat drivers. Frequency: every 3 years. This course requirement is often met by compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200.

Hazardous Materials Transportation – Driver

This course provides training in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations found in the Title 49 CFR. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: Drivers, dispatchers, schedulers and supervisors. Frequency: every 3 years. This course is often combined with other Hazardous Materials Transportation courses to meet regulatory requirements.

Hazardous Materials Transportation – Site Security

This course provides training in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations found in the Title 49 CFR. After the events of September 11, 2001, many changes have been made to improve the security of hazardous materials in the US transportation system. Many hazmat facilities are required to develop a site security plan and train those responsible for implementation of the plan as well as provide general security awareness training for all facility hazmat employees. Hazardous Materials Transportation – Materials of Trade

This course is designed to educate your associates on DOT’s Materials of Trade exceptions Title 49 CFR 173.6. Many clients are able to gain advantage from DOT’s Materials of Trade exceptions when transporting hazardous materials in commerce. Providing the knowledge and training to your hazmat employees regarding the regulations is critical to maintaining compliance. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested audience: sales personnel, service personnel or anyone who may carry hazardous materials in their vehicle for purposes other than transportation.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Hours of Service

This course meets CFR Title 49 Part 395 FMCSA’s Hours of Service training requirements and provides the knowledge and skills required for completing hours of service log books as well as adherence to the compliance rule, regulations and exemptions. Approximately 2 hours in length. Suggested Audience: Drivers, dispatchers, schedulers and supervisors. Frequency: every 3 years.

Drug & Alcohol for Supervisory Personnel & CDL License Holders

This course provides general knowledge of the requirements of CFR Title 49, Part 382, Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing, to all of your driver staff and supervisors. Additionally, it will provide your supervisory personnel the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and handle an employee impaired by drugs or alcohol in the workplace. Suggested Audience: CDL License holders and their supervisors. Frequency: Annual. Please call for a quote.

Program Administration

This is an interactive program designed to assist your facility in building, implementing and maintaining the elements necessary to comply with DOT and FMCSA when involved in transportation.
